Ferocious Dog

16th April

Creating their own take on Traditional Celtic folk, Ferocious Dog take the traditional instruments of fiddles, whistles and mandolins and mix them up with a bit of raw, buzzsaw rock n’ roll attitude. With their unique, aggressive yet feel-good music, they tear up venues across the country, often bringing their faithful Hell Hounds along for the ride.

As someone who has played with the Levellers, Oysterband and Wonderstuff… Ferocious Dog are carrying on the tradition of folk rock the way it was meant to be done.” Dan Donnelly

Kara Grainger and her band, featuring Paddy Milner

2nd May

An internationally acclaimed musician, Kara’s sultry voice and classy slide-guitar playing invariably evokes comparisons to notable female blues guitar exponents such as Bonnie Raitt and Susan Tedeschi. But Kara Grainger has her own unique style, and her growing popularity in this part of the world has her returning again and again to perform festivals and shows, particularly in mainland Europe.

“Every now and then, I hear something from outside of my comfort zone of Country Music that just flat knocks me out. Australian-born Kara Grainger is one of those artists. She blends Pop, Jazz, and R&B in what seems to be (because it never is that easy as the great ones make it seem) an effortless manner.Nashville Music News

Stompin’ Dave and his Bluegrass Band

15th May

Bridport-based Stompin’ Dave is “one of the world’s greatest performers” according to Maverick Magazine. He’s now teamed up with the cream of London’s vibrant bluegrass scene and will be bringing his band to his home town for the first time.

Stompin’ Dave’s is a master of all kinds of American roots music ranging from bluegrass to blues guitar, with a nice line in self-deprecating patter between numbers. He’s partial to showbiz gimmicks, juggling with his banjo and playing his guitar behind his head like Hendrix, but there is great sincerity and feeling in his performance, too…a formidable musician and a true original.” The Daily Telegraph.
