At around 8.55 am on Friday, 3 April 2026, officers spotted a white Ford Transit van travelling in excess speed on the Dorset Way toward the Tower Park Roundabout.

The vehicle continued along the Dorset Way and officers requested the vehicle to stop near to Holes Bay Roundabout.

It is reported that the vehicle failed to stop and drove on the wrong side of the road on the Upton bypass before travelling into Upton.

“I am appealing to any motorists who were travelling in the area around the relevant time and saw what happened to please come forward.

“If you were driving along the Upton Bypass and have a dashcam fitted to your vehicle, please get in touch with the footage to help our investigation.”
