We now know that the whole procurement process was corrupt. Millions (if not billions) of pounds of taxpayers money has been given to people not remotely qualified for the task required. Why did the government do this? The most obvious reason is to pay back donors and friends for their election support. Why didn’t they put the British public first? You will have to ask them that.
Even Sky News has revealed how much of what the government does not add up and yet they are seeking to blame others.
And the legal profession has been on to it for a while:
