Wimborne Man Arrested Following Criminal Damage and Assault in Poole

Officers are appealing for witnesses, victims and anyone with information to come forward following a report of criminal damage to vehicles and a reported assault in Poole.

Dorset Police received a report at around 11.30pm on Thursday, 18 June 2026, of a man causing criminal damage to vehicles in Churchill Road.

At least ten vehicles have been reported damaged, with wing mirrors damaged and windows or windscreens smashed.

It was further reported that the man had assaulted a member of the public.

Officers attended and a man aged in his 20s from Wimborne was arrested on suspicion of criminal damage and assault. He remains in police custody at this time.

Investigations Officer Alice Harmsworth, of Dorset Police, said: “We are continuing to investigate this matter and I am keen to hear from any witnesses or any further victims who have not already spoken to police.

“I would also like to speak to anyone who may have captured any relevant mobile phone, dashcam, doorbell camera or home CCTV footage relating to this incident.”
