Witness appeal following reports of a man with a knife in Weymouth

Officers are appealing for witnesses to come forward following reports of a confrontation in Weymouth involving a man with a knife.

At around 12.30am on Saturday 25 July 2020 officers were called to Douglas Road where a party was taking place inside an address.

A confrontation occurred close to the address, where it was alleged a man was armed with a knife. No threats were made and no injuries were sustained. 

Police Sergeant Richard Barnett, of Weymouth police, said: “An investigation is underway and I am appealing to anyone who attended the party and saw a man with a knife, or witnessed what happened, to please contact Dorset Police.”
