Witnesses sought after man does not know if he was assaulted or not in Poole

Officers investigating an incident where a man sustained injuries in Upton are appealing for witnesses or anyone with information to come forward.

Between 9pm and 11pm on Friday 27 October 2023 a man aged in his 60s sustained injuries to his face and head after being rendered unconscious outside Upton Social Club in Poole Road. He subsequently attended hospital for treatment to an eye injury.

Police Constable Mike Rumsby, of Purbeck police, said: “The victim has little recollection of this incident due to the injuries sustained, however, it is possible he may have been the victim of an assault.

“We are conducting various enquiries as we attempt to establish how he came to sustain these injuries and I would urge any witnesses, or anyone with information that might assist our investigation, to please come forward.”
