Woman attacked and robbed in Weymouth

Officers investigating a robbery in Weymouth are appealing for witnesses or anyone with information to come forward.

The incident occurred between 3pm and 4pm on Sunday 23 April 2023 in the area of Asda in Newstead Road.

It is reported that a woman was approached by a group of young people and had her bank card stolen.

She sustained facial injuries that are not believed to be serious.

Police Constable Jamie Ralphs, of Weymouth police, said: “I am conducting enquiries to establish the full circumstances of the incident and I would like to hear from any witnesses.

“I am also keen to speak to anyone who may have captured anything of relevance on dashcam or mobile phone footage.”
