Officers are appealing for witnesses or anyone with dashcam footage to get in touch following a serious injury collision in East Dorset.

Dorset Police received a report at 6.07am on Thursday 28 September 2023 of a single vehicle collision involving a white Citroen C1 on the B3082 Blandford Road near to Badbury Rings.

The female driver of the vehicle – aged in her 20s from North Dorset – was taken to hospital by the air ambulance with serious injuries. Her condition is described as life-threatening and her family has been informed.

The road is currently closed while emergency services safely deal with the incident.

Police Sergeant Dave Cotterill, of the Roads Policing Team, said: “I am carrying out enquiries to establish the full circumstances of this collision.

“I am appealing to any witnesses who have not already spoken to police, or anyone who have may have captured anything of relevance on dashcam footage, to please get in touch.

“Finally, I would like to thank everyone for their patience while the road closure is in place. This allows us to conduct a thorough examination of the scene.”
