Officers are appealing for witnesses or anyone with dashcam footage to come forward following a fail-to-stop collision in Poole.

Between 8am and 8.15am on Thursday 17 March 2022 a collision occurred involving a car and a pedestrian on Dale Valley Road near to the junction with Oakdale Road.

The pedestrian – a woman aged in her 30s from Bournemouth – sustained bruising to her leg.

The car failed to stop at the scene and drove off in the direction of Foxholes Road. It is described as of a medium size and was silver or grey in colour with ‘FH’ at the beginning of the numberplate.

The driver was described as a middle-aged woman with dark-coloured hair and was wearing large black sunglasses.

Police Constable Elizabeth Johnson-Byrnes, of Poole police, said: “I am carrying out a number of enquiries to identify the vehicle involved.

“I would ask any witnesses who were in the area and saw what happened to please get in touch.

“I am also keen to speak to any motorists who were travelling in the area and may have captured anything of relevance on dashcam footage.

“Finally, if you were the driver of the vehicle involved, please do the right thing and come forward so we can take your account of what happened.”
