Woman sought following collision with cyclist on pelican crossing in Poole

Officers investigating a road traffic collision involving a car and a bicycle in Poole are appealing for anyone with information to come forward.

The collision occurred between 8.45am and 8.50am on Thursday 22 April 2021 at a pelican crossing on High Street North. 

The cyclist, a 17-year-old boy, was taken to hospital for treatment to minor injuries.

It was reported that the dark-coloured saloon vehicle involved initially stopped at the scene, but the female driver then left without leaving any details. She is described as white, aged in her 40s, of average build and height and with straight blonde shoulder-length hair.

Police Constable Sarah Donnelly, of Poole police, said: “We have been carrying out enquiries into this collision but we have still not been able to identify the vehicle and driver involved. I would urge anyone with information as to their identity to please come forward.

“I would also urge anyone who witnessed the collision, or may have captured it on dashcam, to please contact us.”
