Officers investigating a serious road traffic collision north of Shaftesbury are appealing for witnesses or anyone with information to come forward.

The incident on the A350 near to the Littledown Business Park involving three cars was reported at 3.08pm on Thursday 25 May 2023.

Local and Roads Policing officers as well as fire and ambulance services attended and a female driver – a woman in her 30s – was flown to hospital with serious injuries. The other drivers received minor injuries.

A 39-year-old man from Hastings, Sussex was arrested on suspicion of driving offences and has been released on bail.

Road closures were put in place to enable emergency services to attend the scene safely and conduct their investigation.

Sergeant Chris Brolan, of the Roads Policing Team, said: “I am appealing for any witnesses to the incident or anyone who has captured it on dashcam to please come forward as this might assist our investigation.

“Also, I would like to thank the public for their patience and understanding during the extended road closure.”
