Woman with serious spine injury following fail to stop e- scooter collision in Bournemouth

Officers investigating a fail-to-stop collision involving an e-scooter in Bournemouth town centre are issuing a CCTV image of a man they would like to identify.

At around 9.10pm on Monday 30 October 2023 a woman aged in her 20s was walking in Old Christchurch Road, near to Beale place, when she was involved in a collision with a man on an e-scooter. It was reported that the rider of the e-scooter failed to stop at the scene.

The woman sustained a serious injury to her spine that has required ongoing medical treatment.

Police Constable Sam Burlton, of Bournemouth police, said: “We have been carrying out enquiries into this collision and have obtained a CCTV image of a man we are looking to identify as part of our investigation.

“I would urge anyone with information regarding this man’s identity to please contact us.”
