Officers investigating an incident where a motorist was threatened with a knife while driving in Poole are appealing for witnesses or anyone with dashcam footage to come forward.

At around 4.30pm on Thursday 26 October 2023 a woman was driving on Canford Heath Road, heading toward the Mannings Heath Roundabout when she noticed three dirt bikes travelling behind her.

One of the bikes, which was red and black, came up to the side of her vehicle and the male rider produced a knife before making a threatening gesture to the driver.

The female motorist left the Mannings Heath Roundabout in the direction of Tower Park and did not see the bikes again.

The rider is described as white and around 18 years old. He was wearing a balaclava, black jacket and black gloves. He had a female passenger on the back of his bike.

Police Constable Declan Garbutt, of Poole police, said: “We are conducting a number of enquiries into this incident and I would urge any witnesses who have not spoken to police to please contact us.

“I would also urge anyone who was travelling along Canford Heath Road or in the area around the Mannings Heath Roundabout between 4.20pm and 4.30pm on Thursday 26 October 2023 to please check any dashcam footage to see if they have captured anything that might assist our investigation.”
