Coming directly from Durban in KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa, Zulu Tradition are a vibrant young company of performers specialising in traditional Zulu warrior song and dance compilations.
The troupe first hit UK National television in July 2010 when they showcased at the first United Nation’s sanctioned Nelson Mandela day at the British Museum. Since then Zulu tradition has been regularly delivering their heady mix of African harmonies and energetic athletic dance to theatres, festivals, special events, weddings and corporate events at venues up and down the Country.
Traditionally costumed and supported by driving drum-rhythms, Zulu Tradition reach back into the past to preserve ancient skills, and stretch forward towards contemporary Africa. Their songs are both traditional and original and the raw power of a cappella voices, the enchantment of the story, the pounding rhythm of the African drums and the energy of the dance create stage shows that are exciting, enthralling and hugely entertaining. Early booking is highly advised for their debut visit to Dorset this February through Artsreach!
