Absolutely Brilliant. Seismic. Truly historic. Who would have thought a year or two back Labour would take the entire Bournemouth and Poole conurbation.
And very well said Jessica Toale raising the prospect of bringing back on public agenda Navitus wind farm. Absolutely. The state of global climate there is no question there will be overwhelming public support. The project back in 2016 would have gone forward but for Tory hysteria. Brighton Rampion offshore farm went ahead in 2016 and has been a huge success. Including funding for a large state of the art outdoor Olympic Poole.
And well done Tom Hayes your work as Deputy Leader of Oxford City Council on Zero Carbon. This is so encouraging. Not until new winds blow do you realise how horrendously we have been starving for years crying out for fresh ideas and progress in our towns.
And very well done Neil Duncan Jordan all your union work to give a voice to all those that have no voice. To lift the quality of life of all who work so hard. Put an end to “15 minute home care visits”. So much in our half wrecked country after fifteen years Tory indifferent self-interest needs to much attention.
And congratulations to Lib Dem leader Cllr Vikki Slade taking North Poole and Mid Dorset.
I note former Cllr Tom Hayes, now MP Tom Hayes for Bournemouth East, stood down as Oxford City Cllr and Deputy Leader in 2013 to take on if elected the workload of an MP. That then is the way to do it Cllr Slade.
But that apart on a great and historic day very well done all our new Bournemouth and Poole MPs. You bring hope and optimism to all our lives.
Here my own submission in Bournemouth Echo – one year ago – crying out for change – country in its worst state in decades – “As for voting, I don’t know how anyone can continue to support the Tories” – and now these huge changes. The very best of news optimism sweeping the country …
