Officers investigating an incident where a teenage girl was sexually assaulted in Blandford are issuing CCTV images of a man they would like to speak to.

At around 8.20pm on Sunday 26 June 2022 a 14-year-old girl was sitting on the kerb outside of the Spar store in Market Place when a man approached and touched her inappropriately over her clothing.

A woman who was in a nearby van came out of the vehicle and challenged the man, who then left the scene along Church Lane.

Police Constable Richard Cooke, of North Dorset police, said: “We are investigating this incident and have obtained CCTV images of a man we would like to speak to as part of our enquiries.

“I would urge anyone with information relating to this man’s identity to please get in touch.”
