Promising fabulous flavours and tasty tunes, Upton House Food and Music Festival is all set to stir the senses this month.

The family friendly celebration of great food and live music by the shores of Poole Harbour is ready for three glorious days from 11 to 13 August when the beautiful grounds of Upton House will be filled by some of the region’s best food and drink producers as well as brilliant live music.

“Last year’s festival was really well received and we’re determined to make it even better this year, so there’s more music, kids entertainment every day, even more great food, and with school holidays in full swing we’ve kept the prices down – I don’t think there’s a better value festival out there,” says festival organiser Serena Wren.

“People really embraced the fusion of a family festival that caters for foodies and music lovers alike. This year we’re offering even more from the region’s wonderful food and drink producers, while beefing up our music line up.”

And with adult ticket prices from just £3, children from £1.50 and families from £8, thousands are expected to soak up the good times flavours.

Foodies will be able to sample flavours and treats from around the world including traditional Asian cuisine with a western twist from The Bao Beast, Afghan street food from 2 Lads Kitchen, the sensational GREEKery and some really special drinks from Pothecary Gin, Zzinga Honey Cider and Poole’s very own marine marvel that is Shanty seaweed botanical vodka.

The music line up features the cream of Dorset’s home grown local artists with the perennially-popular party starters Mother Ukers, ska stars Rat Race and the hard rock juggernaut that is Saints of Sin joining top UK tributes to Oasis, Foo Fighters, Ed Sheeran, Stereophonics and Bon Jovi.

“It’s the best of both worlds,” adds Serena, “with some of the best known songs on the planet played note perfect by amazing musicians alongside brilliant original home grown artists who relish the opportunity to play to a big outdoors festival crowd.

“Plus, we’ve got a great line up of emerging talents from singer songwriter Archie Ray and the Flutterbies to the brilliant Carley Varley, this bill has something for everyone.”

The site opens from 3pm on Friday and 11am on Saturday and Sunday when entry is split into two sessions – day sessions run from 11am to 4.30pm on Saturday and 11am to 4pm on Sunday, with evenings from 5-10pm on Saturday and 4.30-8pm on Sunday. Those who want to stay all day should book both sessions and will be issued with a wristband so they don’t need to leave between sessions.

Pre-paid on-site parking is available and well-behaved dogs on leads are welcome.
