Bridport Pantomime Players present Cinderella

Tickets on sale at the Bridport TIC from early January.

Friday 6th @ 7:30pm
Saturday 7th @ 2pm & 7.30pm

Magic abounds galore with help from the Fairy Godmother bewitchingly played by Amy Wheatley, and Tanya Remnant is enjoying her first pantomime role as Cinderella swept off her feet by Prince Charming elegantly played by Amy Day. Stepping out from the chorus for the first time is Alice Tuck who is a charming Dandini.

The poor down-trodden Baron Stoneybroke bravely undertaken by Teresa Grinter, is very firmly kept in his place by the Baroness, Cinderella’s wicked, nasty stepmother played with gusto by Sue Farrant who adores her two daughters – the only person who does! The Ugly Sisters are performed in great style by Jess Ives and Tom Staple, a formidable pair!

Sergeant Letsby-Avenue (Jo Aisthorpe) and PC99 (Julia Prior) try in vain to keep law and order but are outwitted by the dastardly Burglar Bill stealthily played Tracy Caden.

And last, but certainly not least the exuberant Ziggy Gray is the ever-lovable Buttons who cares very deeply for Cinderella and helps to make all her dreams come true.

Featuring performances from the children of The Lyric School of Dancing and The Rhythm Dance Centre.

Pam Ayres brings her latest show to The Electric Palace following the recent publication of her new book of poetry, YOU MADE ME LATE AGAIN!

Pam Ayres’ work is funny, and approachable. It sounds simple, as though dashed off, but this is deceptive. Her hair-trigger timing, her eye for the detail of everyday life, and for the absurdity therein, makes for an art that hides art. Her books have been best sellers for 40 years, and Pam is still a regular on Radio and TV, on programmes such as Just A Minute, Loose Ends, six series of Ayres On The Air for Radio 4, the Paul O’Grady Show, Alan Titchmarsh Show, Countdown, and The One Show.
