Free Range Promotions are proud to be kicking off the Christmas holidays with an up close and intimate live DJ Set from legendary Specials Front Man Terry Hall.

In between touring commitments with The Specials and some solo projects, Terry Hall takes his own collection of music to selected venues across the country to give audiences a chance to hear the songs he loves.

As lead singer of one of the most important and game changing British bands of all time The Specials, Terry and his gang hammered the charts worldwide, with hits including A Message To You Rudy, Ghost Town, Gangsters, Nite Club, Monkey Man, and many many more. In addition to his music with the Specials, Terry Hall sang for Fun Boy Three, The Colourfield, Terry, Blair & Anouchka and Vegas. In 1995 he released his first solo album and has since collaborated with Gorillaz, Dub Pistols and Tricky.

His DJ sets take in some of the finest music from the last 40 years, with a style mixing up rare and classic tracks from across the genres, anything from Ska and Two Tone to 80s synth pop, hip hop and indie.

Terry’s musical tastes are eclectic to say the least, as confirmed when he did five Sunday afternoon sessions as guest DJ on 6 Music in early 2014. The response from listeners was phenomenal. Terry Hall was a natural in the radio studio environment.

Attend one of his DJ sets and expect to hear the likes of David Bowie, Toots & The Maytals, The Las, The Jackson 5, Max Romeo, Althea & Donna, Talking Heads, and much more. He closed one set in Stoke-on-Trent with the Zorba’s Dance Greek anthem. And it was brilliant.

It’s all about fantastic music, but going to one of Terry Hall’s DJ sets is also a great opportunity for getting an autograph or photo with the man himself – something that’s proved a challenge at a Specials’ gig over the years.

Tickets are anticipated to sell out quickly so early booking is strongly recommended.
