I have been asking question of our local candidates so far I’ve received two answers to two different questions. I asked all the local candidates for South Dorset about the changes proposed by the government about animal rights and Labour Party candidate Tashi Warr was the only one to respond. I then asked about disability and received this reply from Green Party candidate Jon Orwell. I think you’ll agree when candidates are approached it’s the ones who respond who deserve the votes.

‘Linda,

Social care is in crisis. 5 billion stolen since 2010 and we see day centres closed and respite care a distant memory. Half a million people have lost home helps or meals on wheels. This is all wrong. We are a rich country. Old people have paid their taxes and national insurance and now their care is stolen by a corrupt financial system/bail out.

We believe in a compassionate and caring Britain.

I have put our manifesto at the bottom of this email.

If elected I will fight for the disabled. My son is disabled. I work as a doctor so see the brutal reality of cuts every day.
