It has been a terrible week for Labour. It seems that anyone, anywhere can label someone an anti-semite for opposing the Occupation of the West Bank and no one is asked to provide examples. Calling someone an anti-semite is a very very serious matter and Jeremy Corbyn has been called an anti-semite and a racist on BBC Radio 4 this week and not once did a BBC commentator ask for evidence. This coordinated attack has been given a free run and none of the normal hurdles have been put in its path i.e. proper journalism. I’m sick and fed up but I hope this will backfire. If people in the party want to keep looking for ways to undermine the Leader we need to take them on.

Up till now, Corbyn supporters have just been getting on with the job of getting Labour elected but we keep getting derailed by the same old faces and the media can’t be relied on to do anything but give them as much air time as possible. Isn’t it funny that according to the press, the first Leader of a party to speak about World peace with any integrity is the most dangerous politician in Britain, and the man who has fought for peace in Ireland, peace in Palestine, gay rights and against the Iraq War is a harbinger of anti-semitism.

I say to any one out their who is using casual and unfounded slurs of anti-semitism to smear and blacken the name of the Labour have had their day in the sun but we, the vast majority of members know what you are up to whilst you abuse the word anti-semitism with your casual use of it and we won’t put up with it and we will take you on.
