Man last seen on Portland Beach Road Weymouth missing

Officers searching for missing man Scott Deakin in the Weymouth area are pleased to confirm he has been found safe.

Scott was reported missing having last been seen in the area on the evening of Friday 30 July 2021.

Following searches by officers, he has now been located.

We would like to thank everyone who shared our appeal.

Officers carrying out searches for a missing man in the Weymouth area are appealing for information from the public to help find him.

Dorset Police received a report at around 10.15pm on Friday 30 July 2021 raising concern for the welfare of 36-year-old Scott Deakin, from Bournemouth.

Further enquiries indicated Scott had last been seen in the area of Portland Beach Road in Weymouth on the evening of Friday 30 July 2021.

Scott is described as white, five feet eight inches tall and of slim build with short brown hair and a thick brown beard. He was wearing a dark blue Puffa-style jacket and dark-coloured shorts.

Chief Inspector Neil Wright, of Dorset Police, said: “We understand Scott has been very upset recently and we are keen to locate him as soon as possible to ensure he is all right.

“We are carrying out extensive searches in the Weymouth area and I would appeal to anyone with information as to Scott’s whereabouts, or who sees a man matching the description given, to please contact us immediately.

“I would also like to make a direct appeal to Scott if you see this – please make contact with us or your loved ones and let us know where you are as we just want to check that you are safe.”
