Whatever one thinks about industrial action or trade unions one thing is inescapable. We are being played. The corporate media do not want intelligent viewers but those who prefer it simple and unchallenging.
The following is a case in point.
Mick Lynch states he in not a Marxist. Guess whose distinguished company he is in?
Yep that’s right. Karl Marx. Before he died he could see how some French intellectuals… had already distorted his views and he had distanced himself from the mutations. Now move forward over 140 years and one can imagine how mangled and fake the corporate journalists have turned the term in to. They see it as a label to be embarrassed of. Well so did Karl Marx.
However, this particular stooge is met head on with a much more appropriate application of the English language.

The reason why the corporate media rush to use terms such as ‘Marxist’ is because they have never seriously read Marx. Their superficiality is about creating conflict and controversy to push up the ratings. Intellectual interaction is far from their agenda because their audience have not been educated to comprehend it. Thus soundbites and dumbed down rhetoric, that maintains an illusion and fakery, are used that serves their purpose. Maintaining the status quo and doing as their executives instruct them is the game.
What the hell is Kay Burley doing apart from manufacturing consent via this type of shite?
Well done to Mick Lynch for his handling of this line of questioning. He could see what #KayBurley was trying to do. I could see what Kay Burley was trying to do. And he wasn’t having any of it.

This short clip from the wonderful Borgen epitomises the relationship:
However, when the corporate stooge is cut out of the interaction, we get reality. Establishment figures making it up as they go along and then being called out by their interlocutor:
Chris Philp just got called a liar some 325 times on #Newsnight by Mick Lynch. pic.twitter.com/6NIlrNpWMr

Turn off the corporate news media tap and we no longer drown in verbal sewage.
