Wanted to say a massive thank you to Emma and Sarah for setting up Poole-Covid19 Community Support.

I’ve been working for them for a week now and the opportunity to keep busy and be part of something has meant a lot.

We still need volunteers to deliver prescriptions and food shops. Please apply via the website if you’d like to join the team:

This is just one of the lovely emails we’ve had this week thanking one of the volunteers who does the prescription run:

”A beautiful lovely lady from your group just dropped off my
prescription. I don’t know what happened or how it happened but it felt like an actual miracle when I answered the door.

I’d been worrying about it as I’ve been a bit wheezy and the drs had a backlog of prescriptions to issue.

Thank you to you lovely, kind and caring people. I cant tell you how much your support so far has meant to us but I think its helped my sanity!

Big hug (socially distant) hug for you all.

Keep up the wonderful love you are all giving out to the people of Poole.”

If you know of anyone in an at-risk group who lives in Poole and needs help collecting supplies or prescriptions, please give them the website details. They can also phone us on 01202 925398 if they’re not comfortable using the internet or have accessibility issues.

(BCP Council has since set up a helpline that covers the whole of the conurbation 0300 123 7052. Offering a great service too.)
