British Foreign Secretary David Lammy, referring to Russia as a “Mafia State” at the UN General Assembly on 24th September, is beyond the limits of the most absurd hypocrisy: beyond parody; beyond what you’d expect from the war criminal Tony Blair and his grey-suited accomplice Alistair Campbell, who fabricated the lie of weapons of mass destruction before carpet-bombing Iraq. Both remain free men, given platforms by the UK’s state broadcasters to justify their falsehoods. As a mouthpiece bought and paid for by the Friends of Israel, Lammy continues to support the sale of arms and weapons components to a rogue terrorist state in plain sight. Even the old-school mafia had red lines – no women or children. Furthermore, Mr Lammy, you tread on dangerous ground when discussing historical imperialism here! You still willingly sanction the sale of weapons, drones, and vital components for F-35 fighter jets responsible for bombing Palestine to smithereens: schools, hospitals, mosques, and churches, indiscriminately killing thousands of innocent civilians, women, and children in Gaza, while terrorising Lebanon nightly. Meanwhile, you and the UK government remain complicit in blatantly facilitating unchallenged acts of genocide and mass murder, carried out with callous impunity, day in, day out.
What makes Netanyahu’s Zionist murder gang – aided, abetted, funded, and supplied by the US/UK nexus of death and destruction – anything less than a rogue terrorist state?
You claim that only Putin benefits in Ukraine? Utter nonsense. Western capitalism, provoking Russia, profits from this, alongside the vast gas resources in Ukraine (and Gaza!). Who blew up Nord Stream 2? Russia? Germany? You must be joking. While you speak of geopolitical imperialism, the entire world knows the truth. And worst of all, are you playing the race card? Barefaced.

I had ancestors sent to their deaths in the name of imperialism, spilling blood to fight fascism. My relatives, lowered 250 feet in metal cages to work underground, were killed or maimed if they weren’t already fighting Nazis alongside the Red Army. My great uncle lost an eye in an underground mining explosion, and wore a black eye patch like a pirate ☠️ for the rest of his life – some of his comrades weren’t so lucky, Mr Lammy. If you claim to recognise imperialism when you see it, perhaps you’ll understand why it is somewhat troubling that you fail to recognise Russian-speaking civilians being targeted by Nazis in the form of Zelensky’s militia, backed by NATO and the CIA, in the Donbas? Odd.
Perhaps you’ll acknowledge the true mafia state – NATO – interfering in Ukrainian elections and parking US/UK long-range missiles on Russia’s border. The sheer, unbridled imperialist antagonism of neoliberal capitalist self-interest knows no bounds. Arguably, Mr Lammy, you may now safely drop the pretentious and ludicrous reference to Ukraine, as if the unelected Zelensky stands alone, when speaking of a mafia state. NATO is the imperialist embodiment of the war machine: war is simply the continuation of politics here, and you, Mr Lammy, are beating the drum towards a catastrophic no-win situation whilst enabling genocide. You, Mr Lammy.
