It’s another round of tall tales about the fate of the Elm Tree and the need to save this piece of history for all.
People are loving the skits in GenZ language, and it is having a great impact on our crowdfunding campaign. We are edging closer to a successful bid for the pub, helped by this phenomenal social media coverage—our total TikTok views are well over 2 million and our Instagram page has 25,000 followers.
Why are we still doing this?!!
We want to save our village pub, and we think we can! We have already reached over £500,000 and now we need to seal the deal (and secure the bag!) and get the final amount in as soon as possible – just £100,000 to go, and every day we are getting more in—so please help to get us over the line – BE AN ELM TREE STAN!
We can’t thank people enough for their support. From Australia to Newfoundland, Ukraine to South Africa, Singapore to Brazil, Hawaii to Hong Kong, and right across the UK, Europe and the USA, people are still loving the sentiments and humour in our little videos and pledging donations.
We know we can now save the Elm Tree Inn, and soon we will be able to reopen it and run it as a community-owned pub at the heart of our rural Dorset village in Langton Herring, hopefully with a future global clientele!
We are still amazed at the impact we have had and absolutely astounded by the love from Gen Z supporters and Boomers alike, and have already seen over £98,000 come in small donations and share purchases, from over 3000 local and international supporters!
The latest video, conceived by our own Sarah Warren and our usual crochet-clad boomers, features a new bunch of locals from the village and a new angle on the history of the pub!!

We still need local businesses and individual supporters to buy shares, which are being issued for a minimum £200 to a maximum of £65,000 per individual or organisation.
