Officers investigating an assault in Poole are issuing an image of the suspect and appealing for anyone with information to come forward.

It is reported that at around 1.40pm on Monday 17 January 2022 a civil enforcement officer was assaulted by a man in North Street.

The victim sustained cuts to his face and head, as well as a black eye.

Police Constable Chloe Roaf, of Poole police, said: “This was unprovoked assault on someone who was just doing their job.

“As part of my enquiries, I am issuing an image of the suspect with his dog. While I appreciate you cannot see his face, I am hoping someone may recognise him from his distinctive clothing and build.

“I would also urge anyone who witnessed what happened and has not already spoken to police to please come forward.”

Anyone with information is asked to contact Dorset Police at www.dorset.police.uk/do-it-online, via email [email protected] or by calling 101, quoting occurrence number 55220008342.
