Detectives investigating an alleged burglary in Bournemouth are issuing a CCTV image of a suspect.

Sometime between 1.42pm and 3.30pm on Wednesday 3 October 2018 it was reported that a burglary occurred at an address in Queen’s Park Avenue.

A significant amount of property, including cash, jewellery, badges, Ugg boots and a bank card was stolen.

The bank card was subsequently used for a contactless payment later that day at Asda in Bournemouth.

Detective Constable Michelle Lawrence, of Bournemouth CID, said: “As part of my investigation I am now in a position to issue a CCTV image of a suspect and I would urge anyone who recognises this man to please contact Dorset Police.

“The items stolen were worth a huge amount to the victims, both financially and sentimentally, and I would ask anyone who becomes aware of jewellery being offered for sale in unusual circumstances to please contact me.”

A 36-year-old woman from Bournemouth was arrested on suspicion of burglary and has been released under investigation pending further enquiries.

Any witnesses or anyone with information about the purse thefts is asked to contact Dorset Police at www.dorset.police.uk, via email [email protected] or by calling 101, quoting occurrence number 55180160405. Alternatively, contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111 or via www.crimestoppers-uk.org.
