Officers investigating an assault in Christchurch are appealing for witnesses or anyone with information to come forward.

At 2.14am on Saturday 22 December 2018 Dorset Police received a report of a group of men fighting at Bargates.

Officers attended and a man aged in his 20s was found with facial injuries in Christchurch High Street after being assaulted during the incident. He was taken to hospital for treatment to a suspected broken jaw and fractured cheek bone.

Police Constable Luke Sands, of Christchurch police, said: “We are carrying out a number of enquiries into this incident and I am appealing for any witnesses who have not already spoken to police to come forward.”
