Officers are appealing for information following a series of suspected arson incidents in Lytchett Matravers.

At around 1.15am today, Thursday 21 June 2018, Dorset Police received a report from the fire service that it was attending a vehicle fire in High Street.

It was subsequently established that two vehicles had been badly damaged by fire and a third had received some damage to the rear.
The fires were believed to have been started deliberately.

A further vehicle in High Street and one in Hannams Close have also since been reported as being damaged by fire.

Police Constable Kristian Budden, of Purbeck police, said: “We understand these incidents have caused concern for residents and we are making a number of enquiries to establish what happened.

“I am appealing for anyone with information that can assist our investigation to contact us. We are keen to hear from anyone who witnessed any suspicious activity in the area around the time of the incident.

“Officers from the local Neighbourhood Policing Team will be increasing patrols in the area and can be approached with any concerns.”
