Witness appeal following assault of fourteen year old in Wool

Officers investigating an assault in Wool are appealing for witnesses or anyone with information to come forward.

The incident occurred at around 3pm on Saturday 22 January 2022 in Wareham Road. It was reported that a 14-year-old boy was approached by two other male teenagers and punched a number of times to the face and body.

He sustained bruising as a result of the assault. He did not require hospital treatment.

Police Constable Matthew Budd, of Dorset Police, said: “We are carrying out enquiries into this incident and I am appealing to anyone who witnessed what happened to please come forward.

“I am particularly keen to identify a man who went to assist the victim immediately after the incident, as he may have information that could assist our investigation.

“I would also urge residents or any motorists who were in the area to check home CCTV systems or dashcam from around the time of the incident for any relevant footage.”
