Edinburgh based Irish-Hungarian phenomenon Dallahan recently exploded onto the traditional music scene, and are rapidly gaining a reputation as one of the most exciting new groups around following outstanding performances at festivals including Scotland’s Celtic Connections.

As individuals they are award-winning soloists, established in a range of musical styles, from classical and jazz to Balkan and Celtic. Accordionist Paddy Callaghan won ‘BBC Young Traditional Musician Of The Year Award’ in 2013, banjo player, fiddler and mandolinist Ciaran Ryan has previously been crowned ‘All Britain Banjo Champion’, fiddler Jani Lang won 1st prize at the first ‘Hungarian Traditional Music Competition’ and lead singer and guitarist Jack Badcock was recently a finalist in the ‘BBC Young Traditional Musician Of The Year’.

Nominated for ‘Best Up and Coming Artist of the Year’ at the Scots Trad Music Awards 2014, Dallahan haverecently released their highly acclaimed debut album ‘When the Day is on the Turn‘. Set to perform at three venues across Dorset through Artsreach this June, expect a breathtaking musical journey from these exciting young musicians.
