Can you help someone get online and open the door on a whole new world? Superfast Dorset needs volunteer Digital Champions to help people in the Bridport and the surrounding areas to discover and enjoy all the benefits of being connected.

Residents are invited to have an informal chat with the Superfast Dorset team about what it means to be a Digital Champion on Thursday, 24 April, at The Snug in The George Hotel, South Street, Bridport, from 5:30pm.

There are many ways to be a Digital Champion, including inspiring people to explore and learn about the benefits of the web or helping with basic skills like emailing or browsing the web. And you don’t have to be an expert.

Bridport, Charmouth and Chideock are some of the first communities to have access to the fibre network through the Superfast Dorset project. From accessing education and applying for jobs, to buying and selling online, superfast broadband will allow people to do more online than ever before.

If you can’t imagine a life without the internet, then share your skills and help get everyone in Bridport and the surrounding areas get connected. Volunteer to become a Digital Champion and see what a difference you can make.

For further information or if you’d like to come to the George Hotel on 24 April, contact Wendy Maggs on [email protected] or call 01202262300.
