Bournemouth Man Arrested Following Vicious Assault In Southbourne

Detectives continuing to investigate a reported assault at a bar in Southbourne are appealing for witnesses or anyone with information to come forward.

At around 12am on Sunday 12 August 2024 a man aged in his 50s was reportedly assaulted in the Fez Bar in Seabourne Road.

He was taken to hospital for treatment to fractures to his cheekbone and eye socket.

Following detailed enquiries by detectives, a 40-year-old man from Bournemouth was arrested on suspicion of inflicting grievous bodily harm with intent. He has been released under investigation as enquiries continue.

Detective Constable Rhiannon House, of BCP CID, said: “We are continuing to investigate this matter and from our enquiries we understand there were a number of people in the vicinity when the alleged assault occurred.

“I am appealing for any witnesses who have not already spoken to police to please contact us.”
