Value House, Wyke Regis is the new home of Jurassic Coast Auctions, a brand new Auction House to the area. Glenn Chadwick local Portland councillor and entrepreneur spotted a gap in the market when National Trade Auctions closed at the end of 2015. After discussions with Value House and the owners of NTA, Glenn took over the 3000 square metre site on Mandeville Road at the beginning of January. Jurassic Coast Auctions run auctions every Saturday. Sales start at 10.30am and each one contains a cornucopia of lots, ranging from collectables to electrical appliances. Jurassic Coast Auctions have stream lined the whole process by investing in the latest auction technology to make buying or selling easy and accessible to everyone. The low commission fees and BACS payments directly into your bank account make auctioning a cost effective way for disposing of unwanted goods.
Glenn Chadwick says “Our whole ethos is to make the process, whether you are a seller or buyer, an easy relaxed and fun experience.”
Glenn continues “I have always loved buying and selling at auctions and when I heard NTA was closing, I saw a gap in the market that I would like to get into. I approached Value House about the site and spoke to NTA and now we have launched Jurassic Coast Auctions. I love it, it’s a lot of fun and I can’t think of a better way to spend a Saturday morning.”
Lee Mitchell General Store Manager at Value House continues “We are very happy and excited to welcome Jurassic Coast Auctions to our site and all the team here wish them every success with their weekly auctions.”
Jurassic Coast Auctions operates from the former greenhouses at the Value House site, Wyke Regis. The site is over 3000 square metre of viewing and auctioning space with a huge car park outside. It’s fun and easy to do if you are a buyer or a seller. Lots for each week’s auction can be dropped off right up until 3pm on a Friday and the site is open for viewings Monday to Friday 10am to 4pm. The weekly auctions take place every Saturday morning from 10.30am.
