Officers are appealing for information following a burglary at a charity premises in Dorchester.
Shortly after 6am on Tuesday 18 August 2020 Dorset Police received a report of a burglary at the British Red Cross on Parkway Farm Business Park in Poundbury.
The break-in is believed to have occurred around 11.55pm on Monday 17 August 2020. A search of the premises had been carried out and items taken included cash from a prize draw, a make-up bag and a mobile phone.
Police Constable Shane Hewitt, of Dorchester police, said: “It is upsetting to see a charitable organisation that does so much good work being targeted in this way and we are determined to do all we can to find who is responsible for this burglary.
“We are carrying out a number of enquiries and I am appealing to anyone who witnessed any suspicious activity in the area on the night of Monday 17 August 2020, or who has any information that could assist our investigation, to please come forward.
“I would also urge anyone who was driving in the area at the time and has dashcam fitted to their vehicle to check their footage for anything relevant.”
