Officers investigating assault and theft incidents in Bournemouth involving the same victim are issuing CCTV images of the suspects.

At 3.20am on Sunday 1 September 2019 the victim, a 22-year-old woman from Cardiff, was attempting to withdraw £100 from the cash machine at Bath Hill service station on Bath Road when an altercation occurred with another woman. The suspect punched the victim on the lip and pulled her hair.

During the assault a man in the cashpoint queue spotted the victim’s money had been withdrawn but not collected from the machine. He was seen to pocket the money, walk away and get into a waiting taxi.

The victim discovered the theft the following day when she accessed her online bank account.

Police Community Support Investigator Martin Young, of Bournemouth police, said: “From our initial enquiries we do not believe the male and female suspects are known to each other.

“I would appeal to anyone who knows this man and woman to please contact Dorset Police.”
