Officers investigating the theft of a handbag in Poole and subsequent use of a stolen bank card are issuing a CCTV image of a man they would like to speak to.

The victim had left their bag on a bus, which was travelling from Hamworthy to Poole bus station between 10.55am and 11.10am on Tuesday 26 November 2019, and subsequently discovered it was missing. The bag contained the victim’s wallet and their bank card was used for a number of transactions later that day, including at Pizza Hut in Ashley Road.

Police Community Support Investigator Chris Hardy, of Dorset Police, said: “We are making enquiries into this matter and have obtained CCTV footage of a man who is believed to have used the stolen card at Pizza Hut.

“I would urge anyone with information as to his identity to please contact us.”
