Officers investigating an incident in which a man was seen to carry a knife into a Bournemouth fast food restaurant are issuing a CCTV appeal.
At around 9.55pm on Friday 13 September 2019 a man walked into McDonalds in Christchurch Road, Boscombe, with a kitchen-style knife handle sticking out of his trouser pocket and sat on a bar stool.
A member of security staff approached the man, removed the knife from his pocket and asked him to leave. No threats were made with the weapon.
The man was seen to walk off along Palmerston Road in the direction of St Clement’s Road. A search of the area was carried out but no one was located.
Police Constable Liam Allton, of Bournemouth police, said: “I have made a number of enquiries to identify this man but these have so far been unsuccessful.
“I would ask anyone who recognises him to please contact Dorset Police.”
