Thank you to everyone who took part in Beat the Street when it was here from 3 October – 14 November in Poole, Purbeck, Portland and Weymouth. Nearly 19,000 took part in the game and walked, ran or cycled 143,649 miles.
We have been celebrating players fantastic achievements at award giving events. The winners are:
  • Poole – Hamworthy Park Juniors and The Childminders
  • Purbeck – Stoborough Primary and Old Kiln Road
  • Weymouth and Portland – Southill Primary School and Dorset Sole Sisters
The aim of the game was to encourage schools, workplaces and community groups to explore Poole, Purbeck, Weymouth and Portland by foot or by bike, look out for beat boxes and score points for their teams.
