Officers carrying out searches for an elderly Poole woman who has been reported missing are appealing for information from the public.

Stephanie Bowen, aged 82, left an address in the Oakley area with her black spaniel at around 10am on Friday 16 September 2022 and has not been seen since.

She is described as white, five feet three inches tall and of slim build with white hair in a long bob. It is believed she is wearing a linen shirt and grey cargo trousers.

Inspector Matt Buller, of Dorset Police, said: “We are concerned for Stephanie’s welfare as we understand she is confused easily and she did not return home when expected.

“We are carrying out extensive searches in the Poole area and have also received a report of a possible sighting in the Wimborne area today, although this is not confirmed at this stage.

“I would urge anyone with information regarding Stephanie’s whereabouts, or who sees a woman matching the description given with her dog, to please contact us immediately.

“I would also like to make a direct plea to Stephanie if you see this appeal – please make contact with us or your family and let us know where you are so we can make sure you are all right.”

Anyone with information or knowledge as to Stephanie’s whereabouts is asked to contact Dorset Police at www.dorset.police.uk/contact or by calling 101, quoting incident number 13:323.
