Could you be Charity of the Year 2013?

Do you have a local community project or charity you are trying to raise money for? If you do then Weymouth College staff and students want to hear from you.

The College are looking for a local community project or charity to be their nominated charity for a year and be the beneficiary of any fundraising events they organise.

College spokesperson Laura Culshaw said: “We would like people to send us details of their local project or local charity. Weymouth College staff and students will then vote and their preferred charity or project, which will be confirmed in the first week of November. Don’t delay-apply now for this special opportunity.”

Weldmar Hospicecare Trust has been the College’s chosen charity for 2012, with staff and students raising a considerable amount of money through various fundraising events such as: A charity ball, a themed catering evening, hosting the Weldmar Midnight Walk, various collections and much more!

Anyone interested should contact Laura with full details including a contact number and send them to her at Weymouth College, Cranford Avenue, Weymouth DT4 7LQ. Alternatively people can email the details to her at [email protected]. The closing date for nominations is Wednesday 31st October 2012.
