I implore everyone watches this 8 minute video. It is absolutely essential viewing. Credit to Channel 4 News for broadcasting it. That I have to credit them depressingly speaks volumes about how bad things have become for the Palestinians.
Let me be clear-we must stand in absolute total Solidarity with the Palestinian people. I do. That Palestinians are forced to face such racism, such oppression, such bullying, such colonialism, such imperialism. In the UK, by so many who should know better, even debate is shut down. Please watch this video and see just a tiny flavour of what the Palestinian people, just in the UK alone, have to endure. It’s disgusting, it’s racist, it’s wrong on every level. In the same way we must never allow our Jewish comrades to be attacked in any way or blamed for the illegal, violent, murdering, brutal oppression of the far-right, extremist Israeli state towards the Palestinians, we must always stand proudly alongside our Palestinian comrades.
We obviously condemn any violence, racism, murder, hate etc by ANYONE-be they Israeli, Palestinian, Welsh, British etc. Most of us ALL want the same thing-a peaceful resolution that respects and honours all. We must never, ever feel we cannot say this. We must never feel standing up for human rights, international law and basic common sense/common decency is anything other than honouring the basic founding principles of not just The Labour Party, but human society itself. Nor do we buy the narrative that “UK citizens/Welsh people/British people etc are not bothered by this, they don’t care etc”. That is absolutely, demonstrably untrue as we see from feedback and engagement. Socialism & Solidarity have no borders. Let us continue to prove that. Loudly & proudly.

Finally, please read this from my friend Dan Ozarow. Dan is a brilliant comrade who stood as a Labour Party MP candidate. Dan is Jewish and received the most disgusting Antisemitic abuse, as did his family. The Tories, and others, attempted to discredit and destroy Dan through pure Antisemitic hate and abuse. I am proud to know Dan, and to stand in total Solidarity with him. Massive credit goes to Jenny Formby, former Labour Secretary, who backed Dan to the hilt.
