I know some people have been excited to see the cruise ships in the bay. However, we need to be aware of the massive amount of pollution these ships produce. The 44 cruise ships that regularly dock in Southampton produce as much air pollution as 260,000 cars. So the 8-10 docked in Weymouth bay these past 5 months are likely to have pumped out the equivalent of around 48,000 cars!

There are well known serious health impacts from air pollution, not to mention the carbon dioxide (CO2) these floating cities add to global warming and climate change. So the cruise ships might be interesting on the eye, but are pretty bad for the health of people and planet. #OceanRebellion

  1. There is no need for them to still use fuel!
They are exposed to Wind and Sun Every single day, just look at those monstrosities though! What fun could that possibly be!? I can understand a small ship with a few 100, but those things are just greed monsters of the seas and the fools who are attracted to them, blind and deaf to the state of the world around them!
