I am guessing that they have had a lot of these and have decided to put together a standard reply. The first sentence of paragraph two is the giveaway.
Who do they think they are kidding? They use the word ‘impartial’ like it is supposed to persuade. Parents on the side of the pitch for their child’s under 11 football match are more impartial than the motley crew at the BBC.
It would be funny if it wasn’t so democratically malignant.
