So far 8 Labour MP’s have resigned from the Front Bench and 35 voted against the wishes of their Torylite leader:
For the rest they have become an utter waste of space.
“Parliamentary tactics” was the patronising defence of Keir Starmer’s abstain tactics we were repeatedly told by those defending him. So I welcome those people applying their own logic, and joining the rest of us in complete disgust now we all know this.
From Labourlist: “OK, you said it was Parliamentary tactics…so explain this complete BS betrayal then. Because by the logic you used, this must mean you are equally perplexed and furious about this: “Keir Starmer told Labour MPs that he did not believe the party should vote against the government’s covert human intelligence sources bill (criminal conduct) bill at third reading this week, *even if it is unamended*.
Unite’s Howard Beckett had written for LabourList that afternoon to say it would be a “total dereliction of duty for the party of organised labour to continue to sit on its hands” if the Tories block the amendments, but it looks like MPs will be told to *abstain rather than oppose the controversial ‘spycops’ bill* on Thursday.”
Defend that then Starmerites. Go on…Parliamentary tactics my ar*e. A Human Rights lawyer who betrayed Assange, and now this. He IS The Establishment and he’s completely sold out the Party. Humiliating and morally reprehensible.
