A man is due to appear in court in connection with a serious injury road traffic collision in Lytchett Matravers.

Dorset Police received a report at 4.08pm on Monday 21 March 2022 of a collision in Wareham Road involving a bus and a pedestrian.

Officers attended, along with the ambulance service, and the pedestrian – a 15-year-old local girl – was taken by air ambulance to Southampton General Hospital for treatment to serious injuries.

A 59-year-old man from the Dorchester area was arrested in connection with the incident. He has now been issued with a postal requisition to appear at Poole Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday 28 September 2022 for an offence of driving a motor vehicle with a proportion of a specified controlled drug above the specified limit.
