Lovers of outdoor film will be thrilled to hear that Dorchester Youth Extra (DYE) – the youth forum for Dorchester, have organised a FREE open air cinema event which is being held in Borough Gardens in Dorchester on Saturday June 13th.

The afternoon starts at 3pm with music and a free bouncy castle – with inflatable slide for older children. There will be popcorn and candy floss on sale as well as delicious pizzas and hotdogs. There will even be a bar for the grown ups!

The first film, Big Hero 6 will be shown at 4pm followed by an interval during which there will be live music from local young talented performers.

The second film, Mamma Mia will be shown at 7pm.

“Last year this was an extremely popular event and we are really pleased it is happening again this year. It is special because it brings people together of all ages and allows us to make full use of the lovely Borough Gardens Park”

Emma Scott – Community Development Officer, West Dorset District Council.

Attenders are encouraged to come early and bring a blanket or deckchair and get themselves comfortable for this truly wonderful community event.

The event has been organised by DYE and is being sponsored by Dorchester Town Council.
