Dorset PCC asks for residents’ views in Swanage

Dorset PCC, Martyn Underhill is to hold a public meeting for residents of Swanage and the surrounding areas to raise any policing and crime issues they may have to their directly elected commissioner.

The PCC will be giving a presentation at Swanage School, High Street, Swanage BH19 2PH on Tuesday 4 October 2016 at 7pm.

The session will give people living and working in the Purbeck area the opportunity to put their questions or concerns to Martyn and hear more about his work over the last few months.

Martyn Underhill, Dorset Police and Crime Commissioner, said: “I want to work with local people directly on issues concerning community safety, crime and policing.  It is important that we all meet in person, to identify the key issues in the area and then work together to solve them.

“Public engagement is a key part of my role and it is important for people to understand the breadth of the work of a Police and Crime Commissioner, and how it can influence change in the way the county is policed.”
