Officers investigating an incident involving cruelty to wildlife in Purbeck are appealing for witnesses or anyone with information to come forward.

Dorset Police received a report at around 9.50pm on Wednesday 20 October 2021 that a vehicle was seen travelling in East Creech Farm Road at speed and appeared to deliberately drive at a number of ducks and geese on the roadside. Two geese and six ducks died as a result of the incident.

Police Constable Stuart Wilson, of Purbeck Police, said: “We are carrying out a number of enquiries into this incident, which appears to be a mindless act by the driver involved, and I am appealing to any witnesses or anyone who may have captured anything relevant on dashcam footage to please come forward.”
